PROGRAM
Krasny Bor is a special place for us. We have traveled it far and wide, been here in winter and summer, on foot and on bicycles... And every time we find something new here and leave with the feeling that we will return soon. The road from Minsk takes about 4 hours. On the way we will stop in Polotsk - look at the St. Sophia Cathedral, walk along the ancient streets, have dinner in Damian. By the way, they make excellent potato pancakes there.

The route traditionally starts in Izubritsa. This village is lucky to be located next to Krasny Bor and, probably, largely thanks to the reserve, it still lives. You should start your morning with “northern coffee” from Elmar. A 70-year-old country house might not be the most obvious place to look for awesome coffee, but it's a fact. By the way, if you're going to Elmar's, take some ribbed chips with you. He loves them very much, but buying them in Izubritsa is a problem. Krasny Bor is home to a large number of wild animals - from bison and elk to deer and roe deer. We were lucky, we met the latter more than once. There are also wood grouse here, but they apparently learned the art of camouflage from bison; we didn’t see either of them. We will visit about 5 lakes, including 2 white lakes, Lake Tutcha, we will go to the high bog Bolshoi Mokh and Lake Khotschka
