hiking in Georgia in the Svaneti region
Zhabeshi
3 DAYS
camping
18 km
Zhabeshi is one of our signature routes, named after the village of the same name in the mountains. A hike with a unique track from the village of Zhabeshi to the Swan Gate gorge. The entire route takes two walking days with accommodation in a campsite.

PROGRAM
The Swan Gate Gorge is often avoided, but our team of passionate guides has found an interesting and, most importantly, safe route.
The entire program will take three days:
day 1 — departure from Tbilisi, the road takes about 10 hours to Zhabeshi. We set up a campsite, have dinner;
day 2 — trek to Swan Gate gorge, camping, dinner;
day 3 — in the morning radial exits to the glaciers, then return to the starting point. Departure to Tbilisi around 17:00.

The goal of the trek is to reach the gorge, but on the way to it other natural mountain hiking sites await you. This is trekking along the mountain river Tviberi, dense coniferous forests, more reminiscent of the nature of the north, giving way to interesting kurumniks and birch groves, an infinitely blue glacial lake and, like a cherry on the cake, a view of several glaciers around. It is quite possible that we will see mountain goats in their natural wild habitat (we have already seen it!).
FEATURES OF THE ROUTE
