What to take with us and how will we travel to Bakhmaro?
For a freeride tour and ski tour in Bakhmaro, as a ski tourist, you will need the following equipment and things:
1. Avalanche gear – be sure to have an avalanche beeper, a shovel, and a probe for safety in the event of an avalanche. This is basic kit that should always be on hand in your backpack.
2. Clothing and equipment – waterproof and warm clothing, a helmet, and a mask or goggles to protect against snow and wind are essential. It's also a good idea to have extra gloves, socks, and accessories.
3. Ski touring equipment - skis or splitboard with bindings, climbing skins and light poles.
4. Additional equipment - first aid kit, flashlight, compass or GPS, thermos and snacks, power bank.
5. Transportation and logistics – transfer from Tbilisi by minivan, then by snowcat. An overnight stay is possible en route to Kutaisi. Transportation is organized by the PVD club team.
Freeride tour program in Bakhmaro
1 day
Departure from Tbilisi/Kutaisi. The drive takes about 6 hours. Then we transfer to a snowcat. The drive takes 2 hours along winding roads.
Dating night. Dinner
Day 2
Breakfast. Departure. We'll get up to speed with the group. We'll check the overall pace. We'll get to know each other in the group. An easy route for the first day.
Snack, hot tea. Dinner in the evening.
3 day
We'll have breakfast. We'll set out on a moderately difficult route. About 2-3 descents a day. The approach time is 2-3 hours.
We spend the evening watching videos and materials on avalanche safety. Dinner
4 day
First half of the day, avalanche safety practice. Afternoon, heading out on an easy route. Evening sauna and banya.
5 day
A day of rest, viewing materials on avalanche safety, and ski touring life hacks
6 day
Early start on the route. Approach time: 4 hours. freeride descent routes of above average difficulty
7 day
Departure day. Snowcat transfers and minivan transfers to Kutaisi/Tbilisi

To book a tour, a mandatory prepayment of 50% of the tour cost is required.
The prepayment is refunded if you cancel the tour at least 10 days before the start of the tour.
If you cancel the tour less than 10 days in advance, the prepayment is not refunded or transferred.
