Why Bakhmaro?
A remote region of Georgia where incredible amounts of snow have already begun to fall since the end of November. It is here that you can watch weather forecasts and realize that half a meter of snow can fall overnight. It is here that the juiciest snow forecasts are found and you can see 33 mm in 4 hours.
What to take with us and how will we travel to Bakhmaro?
First of all, you need to understand what the group will need to take on the tour. It is mandatory freeride tour Avalanche gear, a shovel, a probe, a beeper, and a freeride backpack will be provided. We will provide some equipment to participants, while others will need to be rented in Tbilisi or Gudauri. Therefore, it's important to determine the required amount well in advance of the start.
Possible option of departure on Friday evening, overnight in Kutaisi, continuation of the trip on Saturday early morning. Payment for accommodation separately, option.
Bakhmaro program
В Bakhmaro There are several possible riding options:
1. Catski, we pay for the hours of renting a Catski and get fast transfers to the top. Descents with a difference of 500 meters
2. Skitour (splitboard or snowshoes) ascent of about 2 hours and descent with a difference of up to 500 meters
In the first option, we pay for renting a snowcat, in the second case we have a free lift, but during the day it can be one or two lifts. In the case of a snowcat, this is about 5-6 descents per day.
