Why Bakhmaro?

A remote region of Georgia where incredible amounts of snow have already begun to fall since the end of November. It is here that you can watch weather forecasts and realize that half a meter of snow can fall overnight. It is here that the juiciest snow forecasts are found and you can see 33 mm in 4 hours. 

What to take with us and how will we travel to Bakhmaro?

First of all, you need to understand what the group will need to take on the tour. The following will be mandatory on a freeride tour: Avalanche equipment, a shovel, a probe, a beeper, a freeride backpack. We give some equipment to the participants, and some will need to be rented in Tbilisi or Gudauri. Therefore, it is important to decide on the amount in advance of the start 

Transfer, first of all we will leave Tbilisi early in the morning, the road is not short and you will need to get to the nearest village by minivan, and then by snowmobile, since access to Bakhmaro by car in winter is almost impossible.  


Possible option of departure on Friday evening, overnight in Kutaisi, continuation of the trip on Saturday early morning. Payment for accommodation separately, option.

Bakhmaro program

There are several options for skiing in Bakhmaro: 

1. Catski, we pay for the hours of renting a Catski and get fast transfers to the top. Descents with a difference of 500 meters

2. Ski touring (splitboard or snowshoes) ascent of about 2 hours and descent with a difference of up to 500 meters

In the first option, we pay for renting a snowcat, in the second case we have a free lift, but during the day it can be one or two lifts. In the case of a snowcat, this is about 5-6 descents per day.

The prepayment is refunded if you cancel the tour at least 10 days before the start of the tour.
If you cancel the tour less than 10 days in advance, the prepayment is not refunded or transferred.
