Ortsveri climbing in Georgia

Ortsveri ascent

Climbing in Kazbegi Park to the neighboring Ortsveri Peak. The program is perfect for those who want to try climbing 4258 meters. On the route you will need to overcome a glacier and snow rubble; the route is suitable for those who are afraid of heights above 5000 and at the same time want to feel like a conqueror of the mountains.

In the Ortsveri climbing program we will do everything possible to ensure that you acclimatize comfortably.

The program lasts 4 days. One of the days is reserved for bad weather. To climb Ortsveri you will need a standard set of climbing equipment. We will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the climb.

The ascent to Ortsveri can also be organized with accommodation in guest houses and huts. Options include an overnight stay in Stepantsminda and a further ascent to 3600 meters. Or an overnight stay at 3000 meters in a shelter, with a further overnight stay at the weather station at 3600 meters. For comfort, an option is also possible with lifting a heavy load on a horse.

The atmosphere was friendly and fun, but at the same time, everything regarding safety and time limits was strictly adhered to. And the food! Mmmmm... the cocoa alone at 3653 meters was worth it! We were always well-fed, instructed, and the guide was always there to help and support us. This was my first trip where absolute confidence in the guide and team inspired me personally.
