Gombori Valley: Hiking in Kakheti with Unusual Views

Kakheti is not only a wine region but also a destination for stunning day hikes. Our route through the Gombori Valley is a PVD Club original and has already won the hearts of travelers.

Early in the morning, you'll depart Tbilisi in comfortable minibuses. An hour and a half later, you'll arrive in Gombori at an altitude of 1500 meters. After a light snack with tea or coffee, you'll begin a 7-8-kilometer trek each way, with an elevation gain of 500-700 meters. The route runs along a cliff, offering views of the valley, sand dunes, and the distant mountains of Tusheti.

Lunch break will take place in the shade of a large tree with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes. You can relax in a hammock, enjoying the silence and beauty. The way back will pass through the plain, which will make the walk even more comfortable. This route is ideal for those who want an easy but intense day in nature.

Here you can also see historical monuments, villages and frozen deposits of mineral waters.

Dashbashi Canyon is one of Georgia's most spectacular sites, boasting waterfalls, cliffs, and rocky trails. This 10-kilometer day hike will offer you an encounter with pristine nature and a thrilling experience.

You'll leave Tbilisi early in the morning and after three hours of walking you'll find yourself at the entrance to the canyon. The route will start along a turbulent river, surrounded by high cliffs and boulders.
