Freeride tour to Bakhmaro

Bakhmaro

Bakhmaro is Georgia’s best-kept freeride secret — a remote high-mountain resort in Guria where heavy snow starts falling in late November and continues non-stop until April. Waking up to 50–70 cm of fresh powder overnight is absolutely normal here. Snow forecasts are the juiciest in the country — 30–40 mm in a few hours happens regularly. The terrain is perfect for ski touring: most ascents take no more than 2 hours, allowing 2–3 quality descents per day on untouched powder. Lines range from gentle forest glades to steep 40° couloirs.
