We’re PVD Club, and we’ve been running this trip for years. A snowcat — not a snowmobile, the tracked machine that hauls a whole group up in one go — takes you straight to the ridgelines instead of making you fight for a lift ticket. No queues, no crowds, just forest lines, open bowls, and steep faces that most skiers have never even heard of.

Goderdzi sits in Adjara, on the Lesser Caucasus, and it’s genuinely one of the snowiest resorts in Georgia. The terrain does the rest: forest corridors that hold snow all week, open alpine fields, and enough vertical to keep a group moving without repeating a line.

The Week, Day by Day
Day 1 — Arrival. Drive in from Tbilisi or Kutaisi, check into the hotel, settle in. That evening: meet the group and your guides, run through the week ahead, dinner together.
Day 2 — Reading the Snow. Your guides watch how everyone rides — how you handle deep snow, how you move on the slope — and split the group into subgroups so routes and pace actually match ability instead of averaging everyone out. After lunch: the first cat-ski run of the trip, about 4 hours, easing into the week.
Day 3 — North Faces. The first full riding day. North-facing terrain holds that light, dry structure longest because the sun barely touches it. 5-7 hours on the mountain, roughly eight runs. Day 4 — South Faces. The cat moves the group to the opposite side of the mountain. Different light, denser snow, a different feel underfoot. 5-6 hours, 5-6 runs, with a lunch break midday.
Day 5 — Rest Day. Built in on purpose. Keep riding at your own pace, or take the day off entirely — the group decides together, based on weather and how everyone’s legs are holding up. This is usually what makes Day 6 possible.
Day 6 — East Faces. The last riding day, and for most groups the best one. 6-7 hours on the mountain, 6-7 runs, and by now the group is reading lines with real confidence.
Day 7 — Departure. Pack up, check out, drive back to Kutaisi or Tbilisi. Most riders are already asking about the next dates before they’ve left the van.

Who Should Book This
Straight answer: this isn’t a first-timer trip. It’s built for riders who already ride confidently off-piste, can read a line, and move well as part of a group. If you’re still building that base, start with the freeride school — most riders who take that route come back stronger and get far more out of the full week.

FAQ
How many runs do you actually get?
4-6 a day on average, more over a full week — it depends on weather, snow, and group pace. We’ll never push for one more run at the cost of safety.
What gear do I need?
An avalanche kit — transceiver, probe, shovel — is mandatory, no exceptions. Full packing guidance is in our gear and safety guide. No kit of your own? We can arrange a rental locally.
Can I combine this with another trip?
Yes — the usual path is freeride school first, then this week, then our more independent freeride tours across Georgia.
What’s the difference between this and Goderdzi Powder Forest?
This is the classic week: rotating north, south, and east exposures with a rest day built in. Goderdzi Powder Forest is the longer, more intensive option for returning riders.
How do I get there?
Round-trip transfer from Tbilisi and Kutaisi is included. Early departure, to make the most of daylight on the mountain.

Important Information
50% deposit of the tour price is required. The remaining 50% must be paid at least 7 days before the tour begins. Refunds of the deposit or full payment are available if the tour is cancelled at least 10 days in advance. If the tour is cancelled less than 10 days in advance, the deposit or payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Overnight stays in huts (including at Ortsveri) are paid for separately, in addition to the tour price. The itinerary is subject to change based on weather and avalanche conditions. The guide’s decision regarding the route is final.
