Program Highlights and Introduction

The adventure kicks off with a gentle introduction: forest runs close to the resort to assess skills and build team camaraderie. As the day winds down, participants dive into hands-on avalanche safety drills—practicing victim searches and rescue scenarios. Evening sessions cover terrain reading fundamentals, avalanche types, and broader mountain knowledge to ensure everyone rides smart.

A key highlight is the integration of skitour elements, blending hiking with epic descents. Around day two or three, the group sets out on skins to scout the resort’s outskirts, with approaches lasting 2-3 hours. The itinerary includes about four dedicated skitour days, punctuated by a single rest day for recovery. Goderdzi’s varied terrain shines here—think remote spots inaccessible to casual riders, from rolling fields to thick woodlands—all curated by the experts at PVD Club for a truly immersive freeride and skitour escape.

• Solid on-piste skiing or snowboarding proficiency is a must—no beginners, please.

Daily Adventures in Depth

Venturing deeper, the route leads into Goderdzi’s secluded forests, launching from high passes and weaving through open fields and timber back to the resort’s flipside. Expect around three thrilling drops per day, wrapping up with a final forest glide near the base. After two intense days, unwind in a steaming sauna to recharge for what’s ahead.

Day three ramps up with an optional ratrak lift to the pass, unlocking four sweeping descents toward quaint villages across the resort’s vast open expanses. Alternatively, opt for a hike-up approach from the base for those pure backcountry vibes.

Subsequent days shift focus to full skitour excursions, probing Goderdzi’s surrounding wilds. Ratrak (catski) sessions can slot in anytime—dedicating a full day to about five guided runs—but come at an extra cost in this freeride package.

Detailed 7-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Tbilisi (about 4 hours by road), followed by a scenic ratrak transfer up the serpentine path (around 1 hour). Settle in, mingle over dinner, and gear up for the Goderdzi skitour and freeride saga.

Day 2: Fuel up with breakfast before hitting the first trail. This easy route helps the group sync paces and bond, blending skitour basics with freeride fun in Goderdzi. Pack snacks for the day; end with hot tea and a hearty dinner.

Day 3: Morning meal, then tackle a moderate challenge with 2-3 descents. The hike-in takes 2-3 hours. Post-adventure, review footage, attend an avalanche safety lecture, and refuel with dinner—deepening skills in Goderdzi’s skitour and freeride realms.

Day 4: Start with avalanche safety practice in the morning, then ease into a light afternoon route. Cap it off with a restorative sauna session.

Day 5: Recharge day—dive into avalanche resources and skitour tips to sharpen your edge.

Day 6: Choose your thrill: an early start for a demanding trail with a long approach and two advanced freeride drops, or group ratrak riding (paid separately).

Day 7: Wrap-up and transfer via ratrak and minivan to Kutaisi or Tbilisi.
